The First Few Days

by Morgan

When I first got on the ship I felt so seasick, I didn’t want to get out of bed. I threw up 3 times in the first 2 days, so my mom took me to the clinic (which is on the 3rd deck and we are on the 8th Ugh!). They gave me this medicine that I immediately threw up, I took it again and it didn’t work. Apparently, it does the same thing as the medicine I was taking, but the doctor thought it worked better. On the 4th day I started feeling a lot better and started having fun instead of headaches 24-7.

My typical day is this:

A Days

0700 Wake up
0715 Breakfast
0800 – 0930 Global Studies
0930 – 1130 Study Hall
1130 Lunch
1330 – 1400 Play Time (for ship kids)
1400 – 1520 Kids Activity
1730 Dinner
1820 – 1850 Piano/Ukulele (every 3 days)

B Days

0700 Wake up
0715 Breakfast
0930 – 1130 Study Hall
1130 Lunch
1330 – 1400 Play Time (for ship kids)
1530 – 1650 Kids Activity
1730 Dinner
1820 – 1850 Piano/Ukulele (every 3 days)

The only hard things on the boat are – the 24 hour time and only having 3 meals a day with NO snacks (which is especially hard for me since I usually have 6 meals a day). I will never experience January 16, 2018. I have already experienced 2 extra hours.

Some of the most fun things are:

  • Play time
  • Spending time with my friends
  • Games in the Ledo terrace
  • Dessert at every meal
  • The giant chess board
  • The sport court
  • Piano lessons

  1. HI Morgan! So glad you are feeling better! I am thrilled to hear that you are taking piano…and voice and Ukulele?? Maybe you can teach me Ukulele when you return. I’ve always wanted to play Ukulele!

  2. Hello Morgan!! The sea sick thing is terrible. It happened to me in the Caribbean on a vacation. I hope that it soon passes and you feel much better. It has been raining a lot here in Woodinville and hope the warm weather in Hawai’i makes you also feel much better. I see Karma every Tuesday and Thursday at Willows with your dad. She misses you all. Sending hugs and best wishes!!

    1. I miss you and all my friends. Thank you for commenting on my blog and sending me emails. I love seeing these. We meet at the large outdoor chess set, play games, swim, play on the sport court – volleyball, soccer, and other fun games. We also have done origami, painted, and other crafts. We had a scavenger hunt one day too. The kids who go to activity time are Sage, Mia, Lars, Leon, Chloe, Emerson, Maxx, Amiah , Aubrey, Isaiah, Bryce. There are some older kids on the ship too.
